John, as I have already shared with you - this one screams Beaumont Miller... super fat, thick and honest case, crown guards and lugs.
You just don't see these very often - I hope to see it soon

Thanks again guys for the warm reception. It is reassuring to know that many can see beyond the dings, scuffs, and scrapes to appreciate this watch and its unique history. Russ next time I make it to Dallas, I would be happy to have you spend some quality time with it. Hopefully by that time, I can tell you more about it.

Many Tudor WIS would want to know if this example came with decom papers. This example does not because it was purchased from the original owner before it was decommissioned. There are no end link marks between the lugs and the original seller is well known in the collector community. This case is in "as found condition" and no attempt has been made to "restore the luster". This watch is RAW and has a dial only it's mother could love and a case with fat lugs and crown guards, sharp lug holes, original chamfers are intact, and the dings, nicks, and scuffs that you would expect from a military tool watch worn as intended polished over time by the ocean and the objects therein. Not a show piece for sure, but it should be a fun daily wearer. My son digs it.

I am just speechless... Don't really know what to say...

I love it John!! and I appreciate the originality that much more after visiting my first IWJG watch show. It is so HARD to find original pieces that are not WAY over polished and dials that match perfectly... this baby is a beauty my friend!!! Enjoy her in good health and hope all is super with your family!

Best,

Fred/NJ
