Help to decide please

I hope to be starting a "small" collection of some Rolex product. I had a stainless datejust for about 10 years and recently traded it in on a GMT 2 model 116710 LN (new from AD). Now that I have that one, I'm getting the "bug" to add another one in the near future. I can't decide on which model to concentrate on to compliment the GMT. The only other one I considered was the Sub but ended up with the GMT. To add a Sub I feel is too close to the GMT style wise. I love the size of the GMT and also the Sub. I'm thinking I should add something with a different look from the GMT. This time I will buy from one of the trusted sellers on the forum which will help keep my costs down. From those of you with multi Rolexes in your collections, can you offer your suggestions for me? I know in the end I will have to go with whatever I'm comfortable with. Thanks for any ideas you may have.

As for other recommendations, would you stay within the Rolex category ? or something else ?

If it's just Rolex,
what is the price range you're looking around ? They have a bunch 41MM and 40MM heck even the classical 36MM looks pretty good to match up on a GMT

Once I get home tonight, Maybe I can post some pics of my watches next to my GMT II for comparison

well I didnt bother recommending anything like SD etc, because he said subs were too close to the GMT.

I was going to recommend President/DJ/DD II series, Daytona , Millgauss , EXP I
and a YM although It's similar, I find the YM to hold it's own characteristic that makes it stand out from Sub/GMT/EXP II Look

That would be great if you could post some pictures of your collection next to the GMT. And yes, I have thought about the no date Sub but the Explorer is starting to grow on me a bit now as well. I want to try and stay in the $4500 to $7000 range if possible. We'll see.

You're going to have to be a bit more specific.

Do you want to stick to SS? Try TT? Full gold? Sport or dress? Any functions that are must haves? New only or vintage or do you not care? Size limits one way or another?

I like the size of my new GMT so I'd likely stay in the sport line. In all probability I'd stay with SS. My preference is something within the last few years at most but I'm open to suggestions. I'm thinking that way because they've likely made some improvements to the newer movements but I don't know.

New Movements arn't that much better, i find a lot of the vintage movements to be more smooth on certain ones. but that's just me

5k-7.5k is still a good price range for options.
M serials of any of these should easily be achieved

I'd personally look into a YM for an all out sporty but different look.

EXP I or Millegauss for a sporty yet dressy/casual look (I personally love the Froggy Millegauss)
they are recognized as rolex, yet have their own rolex unique look
I believe the Millgauss is a more popular or higher demand than the EXP I on the market so easy to flip also

I find EXP II and Sub and GMT to all look similar

Unfortunately lol I do not own any EXP series or YM yet.
so i have no pictures of those lines for comparison.

my buddy owns a millegauss and exp I so I might be able to borrow them for pics.

You get the GMT complication, but a different look from the GMT/Sub - especially if you choose the white dial
