White gold day date 1803

Hi Folks

Have just purchased a 2nd hand wg day date 1803, and am trying to find out a little more info on the watch.
Have been collecting Rolex for a few years now but am by no means a expert, in the pass have owned a few yellow gold day date on president straps and 1 white gold on leather strap.

What makes this wg day date different, its on a 18k wg jubilee strap, have search the net for hours but can not find any pics or info on this. So just looking for somemore info.

Sorry also forgot the case number is 380**** so about 1973/74

all info would be welcome

Thanks
Luke

Hi all

Kingair the dial a really dark Grey but in the pic its looks black, but still a lovely dial.

found this in the rolex reference, and have seen 2 of these in the past but only in yellow gold

Page 162 Day-Date on Jubilee Bracelet [Reference 6611] Circa 1967

The early Rolex Day-Date watches apparently did not come with the Rolex 'President' bracelet as witnessed by this Day-Date on a Jubilee bracelet. The Jubilee bracelet was introduced on the 40th anniversary of Rolex in 1945. It was named the Jubilee because the 40th anniversary is known as the Ruby Jubilee. Rolex also introduced the Rolex Datejust in 1945 which was the first watch with a date.

Can you take a picture of the crown? I'm trying to figure out I'd there is a pattern to crown symbols for 18k wg 1803s.

Thanks!

Matte

Very nice find! Has it been serviced in the last few years? A RSC service will get it looking brand new again! (I don't know whether on your particular model, whether it's better to keep the originals hands etc, or let the RSC replace them as needed).

Cool watch, are these YG hands and coronet on dial?

Intresting to see the DD on Jubilee as well.

I have a short list of Rolexes I desire. A white DD is high on the list. Congrats on a fantastic find, and enjoy it in good health as they say!
