Opinions on classic datejust combo?

Hi All,

Just wondering what your opinions would be on the classic datejust combo for bracelet, dial, markers and bezel?
My initial thoughts are:
steel jubilee bracelet
silver dial
roman numerals
fluted bezel

Any thoughts?
Cheers.

The next watch I am getting is a DJ. My thoughts on the classic combo:

jubilee bracelet
silver dial
stick numerals
fluted bezel

I would try them all and see which one "sings" to you. There is no right or wrong answer.

Well that's pretty close to mine!!
I've got the stick/baton markers (with small roman numerals in a ring around the outside edge of the dial!) & super jubilee with hidden crownclasp! Perfection......

In terms of the DJ as a Rolex icon, I always think two-tone yellow, jubilee, faceted yellow bezel, champagne dial, stick markers and hands.

In terms of MY classic combo, stainless jubilee, white gold faceted bezel, and a slate tapestry dial. And that's just today. Tomorrow might be a different dial (linen? matte black? white roman?) but always jubilee bracelet and faceted white gold bezel.

I've had a couple of silver stick / fluted / jubilee datejusts in the past, as after TT this is one of the classic combos. They always look great in pics too!

I got rid of both as they seemed a bit bland colourwise on the wrist, and were a bit hard to read the time.

I think a contrast between the dial colour and the steel is helpful.

As for the Classic DJ
I love the jubilee features that are offered !
I'd def look for Jubilee options

Romans just seem to look better imo than stick dials,

Any DJ I get I have to have the oyster bracelet. Impossible to find on a diamond dial in the 36 mm configuration. Bummed.
