Opinion please!

Do you think it's a good idea to trade in 2 Rolexes, my daily 2-tone DJ2 and a vintage 1630 (Oysterquartz case with automatic 1570 movement), for a 6- month old H-serial 15202ST blue dial jumbo (AP at 12 o'clock)? Do you think the trade (with some top-up of course) is worthwhile when considering daily wearability and value-keeping sake? Also, with the same amount of money, do you think a 15202 is a better choice than an ROO, eg. Diver, RC or Black/Panda/Safari Theme? Currently I notice I reach out for my white-dial ROC almost 80% of the time.

I've already had some opinions from friends and would like to gather more of yours! Much appreciated!

Same here, I have traded some monster Rolex watches for just one AP..

AP is just that next level kind of watch.. I say get the AP and one day you can always get another Rolex.. Every watch collector has to have at least one Rolex in their collection at some point. But don't feel guilty about the trade.. Most of us have all been down that road..

It was hard for me at one point because I traded almost my entire collection for one watch.. I traded a AP Ti Roo themes, a special edition Pam, and a 2 month old TT ceramic sub with diamond dial for one AP.. I thought to myself, I'm about to get rid of three watches I wear and have fun with, for just one watch.. It hurt, but sometimes if you want that one really nice watch and you're trying to avoid coming out of pocket then that's when you trade..

The scary thing about AP is, their watches are already very expensive and with the way their price increases go, you would be better off buying sooner than later because one day that watch that used to be in your budget might just be out of budget..

A friend of mine purchased his RG Roo over 10 years ago for around 28k or so and now they are 55k +

He said he could never imagine paying that today.

Just my two cents..

Yes, I've been there too. Do it, you will not regret it. If you want a Rolex in the future, they very easy to obtain. I love Rolexes but they're ubiquitous. APs are special.

Definitely! I've done it and would do it over and over again. I am actually about to let go my last two Rolexes with a deal in the works for one of them. Not sure what I'll end up getting next. I know it will be another AP but not sure which one yet.
