Very well put. The OP is being very immature with his response, when we were only trying to help him understand the brand and answer his questions.. Clearly he doesn't want to appreciate a watch any more for than it just telling time.. |

Glad that not everyone wants an AP, therefore, more exclusivity for the brand and more watches for us AP lovers to buy!!!

At the end of the day I love almost all brands and respect their area's that they are most strong in. That's what makes brands different and sets them apart. In response to the deepsea which I also own but at the time I purchased it cost under 10k The deepsea is a very special dive watch and you're paying for the purpose it serves. At the end of the day there is no arguing that you get more bang for your buck with Rolex... Now quality and detail, AP takes that to a much higher level, but with that comes a price. I love Ap and Rolex and own both. For 13k I just purchased a TT ceramic sub factory diamond dial.. You could never buy an AP for that price that has gold and diamonds... For a RG ROO is 55,500 usd vs a Rolex daydate that has more gold on it for 35k usd |

Won't really bother responding specifically to the others. It's as if some of these guys are just upset that someone doesn't appreciate what they do in a watch. I genuinely feel bad for some of you guys. Enjoy your watch, it's clearly great for you. And I'm glad for you. But let go of the need to be liked. Enjoy what you enjoy. We are not on the sand box anymore.

We are talking about watches and you keep posting rude insults and attacks to members and myself included.. Obviously you have know idea what this forum is about... Let me educate you since you have not been around here that long.. This forum is about more than just watches... I know to you that's what it's about based on all your incredibly rude and disrespectful comments.. This forum is about friendship, it's also about a connection you can make with complete strangers from all over the world. I myself am not concerned about saying things Inorder to be liked around here as you put it.. This forums is one of the best forums around with such friendly people.. So again, why is it you feel sorry for us? Because we enjoy ourselves here? You asked for our opinion and then argued with everyone.. Then you ended it with insults. Not a nice thing to do here. We are all friends and all on the same side.. |

This thread started off as a good topic. It went downhill fast. Not too many threads go this route around here. I don't like it...

Lol, u guys are a riot. Have you read some of ur responses? Can't see where I attacked anyone personally. But if I were you, I'd probably look deeper into myself to see where my own feelings were coming from.
And no need to close the thread, personally I'm done here. I genuinely wish nothing but the best for all of you.

hmmmm geeeeez, i wonder how you could think this isn't insulting? we were talking about audemars piguet and all of a sudden you post this kind of stuff? at what point did I myself post anything like that? up until you posted your rude responses, everything was going well.. when you ask a bunch of watch enthusiasts a question about audemars in an audemars section, then we give you detailed respectful answers, then you say you don't like the brand because we turned you off, I mean were is the logic to that? why even bother anymore.. this obviously will not sink in with you and me having to defend myself for trying to help you is ridiculous. oh and why is it you feel bad for us? because we enjoy our time spent here? |

That's why many AD's are not having full displays, Their new CEO Mr. Bennahamias has great plans for the brand starting too push down the points of sales from 560 to 300 which will mean a lot more watches per AD

Then you have seen a fake, All AP's have aligned screws on the bezel.

I meant the screws on the Hublot not being aligned like AP.

I honestly think that the thread was started with good intent, but by the thread starters second response he had already given up his want for the brand. It kind of came out of left field really, it seems that you became annoyed because people spoke negatively about Rolex.
I hope that wasn't the case, I am sure everyone was only trying to help. |

Thank God AP is not for everyone. They are fabulously detailed and finished timepieces in the ranks of PP and VC to be worn, enjoyed and appreciated.
From your analogy, you expect all watches to be tool watches. A DD can't handle the extreme elements as the Sub C for example. What attracted you to AP in the 1st place?

No not at all, I just think maybe it was taken that way. I think maybe it might have been taken that way because I really can't see any other reason to attack us?
