Jaeger LeCoultre Ref 2285 - 18K Gold Watch
Hi, I saw this watch on Ebay but not sure whether it is authentic. Any experts here can share your views? The seller is from Israel and he says it is 100% authentic.
I googled around and someone said that if it is written ' Jaeger LeCoultre' on the dial, then the movement should not be 'Lecoultre', but same instead. But it is not in the above picture. Also, does the logo on the dial look like an authentic JLC logo? So I am really not sure whether it is the real thing. Hope someone will be able to advise. Thank you. It seems authentic to me!
I own about 9 vintages Lecoultre / Jaeger Lecoultre! In the past, Lecoultre would go for the US market and Jaeger Lecoultre for Europe! Today they use Jaeger Lecoultre for all! Most of vintages will mach the name on the dial with the movement signature! But not all of them! In my opinion this one have a re-painted or replaced dial! But you should double check since i am not very familiar with this specific Model! One model of my collection (a futurematic model) has a "Lecoultre" movement and i repainted the dial a few years ago with the full name on it! Hope i helped!! |
