It's very comfortable to wear, very balanced watch, I like the bracelet, it really sit around my wrist comfortably, the glide lock is very useful, sometimes I tighten or loosen it depends on the humidity.

I tried on the 114060 and 116610 this morning at Tourneau. The 114060 dial looks more balanced than the 116610 dial in my opinion. I've had a Sub Date 16610 for a while and still trying to decide between the 114060 and 116610. I am kind of attached to the 16610 and the 114060 could compliment it if I decide to keep the 16610.

I've had similar experiences as many on this forum... The ND Sub 114060 looks more balanced and symmetrical without the cyclops, but as someone who is constantly using the date function, I don't know if I could go without on what will be my daily wearer.

In your situation, given you have the 16610, I'd branch out from the Submariner and maybe go Exp II or DJII. The Sub will always be a sport option and something casual and the other could give you a little more variety. Good luck either way!

its difficult for me to decide on the SUBC date and ND...really tough..so i might just go for the EXP1 instead..

Here's mine. I love it. Some of my others have date so I wanted something without it. It's definitely in my keep category!

I'll definitely go with Sub-C ND! The date function is over-rated. I set my bezel to the number of the date. What's so hard about that?

Here are my reasons for choosing a SUB-C ND:

1) is clearer to read for divers (than DATE - the date/cyclops presents a slight distraction)

2) is clearer to read at night (than DATE)

3) is consistent with the original design (That made the SUBMARINER a historic watch)

4) I find it better looking than DATE as I am not a big fan of cyclops (Although lot of people claim that it represents the Rolex identity)

5) It's a WIN-WIN, you save 1K and gain the beauty and balance that SUB-C ND offers

Finally, I will only buy a SUB-C with Date, if Rolex start making it without cyclops similar to the Sea Dweller.

Actually you can change the crystal, so it's without cyclops, but must wait 2 years until the warranty expired.
But I still prefer without date even without the cyclops, it's more balanced and more clean looking, the white background of the date really bothers me, if it's black back ground and silver number then it would be nice.

I cant agree with the date issue, now they have AR they are very clear to read and much easier to read than the tiny SD date window.

I can't agree more. The cyclops "doom" is the 50's heritage.
I do like the ND better

I've had my 114030 for about 3 weeks. Things I love about this watch:

1. Perfect balance. I thought that I would miss the date, but I really don't. I'm finding that I like this watch without the date and cyclops. It keeps the entire design well balanced.

2. Extremely comfortable with the glidelock clasp -- more so than the easylink I had previously with the 116713LN.

3. Historical feel. A purist may not exactly agree, but I like the tie-back from the 114060 to the 5512.

Prefer the 14060m over it.
