Let me try to display some class here. Bama fought hard and had a chance to win, but LSU pulled it out. I hope they play for the Na'l Championship. Congratulations to the LSU fans on this forum. Roll Tide!

That was a great game. Michigan State gave Michigan a run for there money. My team Penn State squeaked by Purdue.

OH YEAH!!! Hawaii dominated. 50,000 sold out and the fans rushed the field after the game. HPD, Sherriffs and security were protecting the goal posts...funny.

Not as thrilling as La Tech, SJSU, Nevada, Fresno, but I'll take the win anyday.

Zack...there was a bit of joking in my post. Hawaii had a great historic (for them) season. Just proud of them. Georgia will seriously be thier first real test.

"I don't mean to sound like a prick but Georgia will beat Hawaii."

"I believe in second chances...that's why this story is bigger than the game of football."---June Jones

UH fans want a win on Jan. 1. It will truly be David v. Goliath. Plus, UH has practically nothing, no resources, compared to Georgia. Afterall, Hawaii's a backward state known only for its scenery. Football? you gotta be kidding! At the moment, the Bulldogs must have a sour taste in their mouth to play a team that's so below them.

But we believe that it's more than a football. June Jones took players that nobody wanted and gave them a chance to redeem themselves. He took a team that many people have come to be ashamed of and made many proud. Coach Jones and the Warriors gave people hope. Hope to better themselves and the faith to believe. Plus, he taught many the value of sacrifice, to do things for the greater good.

To religious for you?

To us it's more than just football.

Regardless of your intention, you did succeed at sounding like that.

It is only people outside the Hawaii family that don't get it. We have already won by making it this far. This is a win for the team, coaches and the state as a whole. I don't think we have much of a shot, but nobody thought Boise had a shot at all last year.

The BCS has proven this year what a joke it is, and LSU and Ohio State are playing in the default bowl this year. Do I think the two best teams are playing, sure I do, but that doesn't mean they deserve to be there.

I cheer for Hawaii since that is my Alma Mater, but I spent the first three years in college playing baseball for Arkansas where my wife graduated from. She is still cheering from a game a few weeks ago.

I do congratulate you on having another great team this year and also on helping perpetuate my thoughts on LSU fans. Never fail to disappoint.

Hey I take offense to this statement particuliarly in light of it coming from a "moderator".

I'm also from Louisiana and although I don't agree with the way Zach addressed Fear's comments you have no right making a statement like this which I assume you are also including me in your thoughts

I've seen other members barred from the site for comments which I consider just as offensive as yours .... so let's see what the other "moderators" think of your comments Mr. dman

Are you serious? I don't speak from stories that people told me. I speak from being called racial names while on the field, having thousands of fans flipping off my team bus while driving into the field and even having taco bell hot sauce packets thrown at me while on the field. Ironically I am of Filipino and Hawaiian heritage so I thought the level of intelligence was funny.

You can assume whatever you want, you know what they say about when you assume.

bayhillrolex I think you need to ease up a bit.
1. It is a game.
2. Moderators are allowed to have opinions too, and honestly held opinions at that from personal experience.
3. Dman reacted to Zack's comment which was provocative in nature, if you 'don't mean to sound like a prick' you shouldn't need to say 'I don't mean to sound like a prick". And the game hasn't been played so respect the other team and it's supporters and acknowledge that the other team does in fact have a 'chance' to win.
4. Don't turn this into a moderator thing, that is just an irrelevant ploy. You start attacking a person because he is a moderator you open a whole new can of trouble.
5. Dman didn't say anything bad about anyone anyway, he is allowed to say that he is disappointed with an LSU supporters attitude, just like you have said you are disappointed or unhappy with Dman's reply (as an opinion of an opposition team supporter).
6. Now if someone wants to escalate this further, well it isn't going to be pleasant.....
This all starts when one supporter says to a supporter of an opposing team 'we will win' that is a red rag to a bull. You can say, "I think we will win" or "I want to win" but to put it higher than that is just being antagonistic towards an opposition team supporter.
Now why don't we all sit back and enjoy the game and may the best team win.

Although my team didn't make it to the Nat'l championship game this year, we did kick OSU last year and won the Nat'l championship. I think Tebow has a good chance at winning the Heisman. He's done what no other QB has done. I'm hoping that LSU will make the SEC proud again this year, as it just proves the SEC has to be one of the toughest if not the toughest conference out there.

Zack and Bayhill,

dman, Kansaivet, are proud of what Warrior football achieved this year (I'm sure the other Hawaii Rolex WISes feel the same way). Kansaivet was joking but I bet he relished his words because he could say it. If we ended the season 0-12, he probably would not. Also, you guys are treating this as a game (which it partly is) but its more than football to us.

We'll never shake the attitude of Hawaii being an inferior team playing in a weak conference, composed of overfed soles (Samoans) and formally incarcerated criminals. Sometimes that attitude is reflected on to the general population. That's just the way it is.

Many throw verbal bombs at each other and nobody bats an eyelid. But when June Jones comments on Tebow, everyone and their uncle cries foul.

We're proud of our Warriors, the atmosphere is Hawaii is electric. Everyone feels that we all played a part in our undefeated season. The coaches and the team believe this too. We're not spoiled like you guy with you big conferences and pro ball. UH is the only game we have. When something like this happens, we walk taller.

If you think we'll lose, that fine. Go ahead and cheer for Georgia. But take a chance with Hawaii. The state, Kansaivet, dman, and I still "believe."

Fear,

Those are great words of wisdom. If I were in your shoes I'd be damn proud of what my team has accomplished. IT is not easy to go undefeated at anything and shows great character and heart.

For me and My team (Florida) we have to be satisfied if and when we get the chance to play in the BCS championship game because our conference is so tough, so I have to say we are both proud of what are teams accomplish!

Congratulations on your undefeated season

Yow!

I think any objective person would agree that Hawaii plays in a relatively weak conference, but I don't think I've ever heard anyone call the Warriors in particular or Hawaiians in general a bunch of overfed Samoans or criminals. I think you're being a little bit too sensitive. Be proud of your team and blow off any BS that might float your way. It's an incredible accomplishment to go undefeated no matter what your conference. Besides, every football team has its share of overeaters and convicted felons these days.

In any case, speaking as a Georgia Bulldog (Class of 1980) I think it's great that we're playing Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl. I don't get as heavily invested in this stuff as I use to back when I was in college, but in any case let the best team win. Georgia's going to be overconfident, and if Hawaii shows up intending to win rather than a "we're just glad to be here" attitude anything can happen.

And don't forget, there's a June Jones connection to Georgia. He was the backup quarterback to Steve Bartkowski for the Atlanta Falcons back in the early '80s. I thought he was a cool dude then and still do now.

Tom, you and I should get together for the game!

"I don't think I've ever heard anyone call the Warriors in particular or Hawaiians in general a bunch of overfed Samoans or criminals."

"I believe in second chances. This is a story that is now bigger than the game of football."--June Jones

Gang banger Pisa Tinoisamoa was convicted of felony assault, Feb. 1999. 278 days in the California penal system. Assistant coach Dennis McKnight pleaded to the judge: " If you put him in our custody, we'll change his life."

Devone Bess jailed for helping his "pals" transport stolen material in his car. Hawaii recruited him. Says June Jones to Bess: You have the chance of not only being the best wide receivers to ever play here...but you have a chance to be the best human beings ever to play here."

Colt Brennen, jailed 7 days, 4 years probation for inappropriate sexual contact in a University of Colorado dorm room. A charge he denies. The media and University of Colorado raked him over the coals. Says Colt: If you work hard to be a better person, you no longer worry about what people think about your past."

And overfed Samoans/Hawaiians? Dude, trust me, we hear that a lot. "Eat till you sleep!!"

And the list goes on....

Sensitive? Dunno, yes people do talk about the past deeds of our players. And the strength of our schedule: "overrated, overrated, overrated!!!" people chant at the away games.

They don't see how players' lives have changed.

"Today when we hear about Warrior football, you think about hope, and I can promise you, we will always have a chance to win, regardless of the color the helmet on the other side of the ball." --June Jones
