That is a pretty smart idea for those that are obsessed with keeping the clasp/bracelet in top shape. I totally understand the desire to keep your watch scratch-less. The clasp always shows the most wear and protecting it is definitely in my best interest!

Thanks for the idea!

Guys, cut the OP some slack ! I understand he wants to have this clasp pristine for years to come so he found the best way to do it.

No one is saying there will be many copycat adopters - just sharing his ideals and innovative method.

We saw a guy post this many months ago using Scotch Tape - this is the same idea just more high tech.

Not for me but I can respect the OP if it makes him feel better about things !

I agree. The OP was just offering what he thought might be a helpful suggestion. The flaming is totally unnecessary. If you don't like the thread, then move on. That simple.

You should've cut the film into the shape of the crown.... now that would be hilarious!

I wrap my watches in microfiber towels and store them in an underground bunker. I haven't scratched a crown yet!

I don't think that is true. I've only seen the crowns got over polished, not worn down prematurely

Some funny posts, none of which are offensive. That's what we do. I suppose the reason for my OCD to protect my watch is that I bang them up quiet a bit in my job as a corporate pilot. As a result, I have replaced several dented gold/SS links and have replaced a damaged clasp not too long ago. But heck, it's only money. If you drive a desk, or baby your watches, I suppose this post is rediculous. It is all fun. Thanks for your posts. If you can't joke/laugh, what's the use in anything?

Sort of like their ad - maybe they should make a die-cut Rolex protection kit since it does so well against bricks, nails, drills, etc on an iPhone!
