Hey Clark,

Figured someone would ask that, the watch was purchased back in 08 for 14k and now the same watch was valued at 18k if you bought it new at an AD, but the TT especially used don't seem to hold their value as well as the SS models. They depreciate a bit like the WG/RG/YG models from what I've noticed, plus DavidSW gave me some money from his end. So the value for me was ok in terms of what I was trading away to receive.

But even with value (and logic perhaps) aside, I really wanted a Hulk. Ever since I first saw it, it was the only watch I would notice in the displays at my local ADs because it was a very desirable watch to me at a (somewhat) reasonable price range. It had features I wish my GMTII had like the bigger maxi case, glidelock clasp, ceramic bezel, etc. Otherwise of course I would be oogling the smurf, or maybe YG GMTIIc, or platinum DDII. The TT Daytona for me was a fantastic watch which I purchased at a good price from my Dad who never wore it, but I prefer the look of SS (silver) to TT, especially without PCLs. I also never used the chronograph function, and didn't like how little nicks and scratches showed much more easily on the gold bezel and center links of the Daytona as compared with my 10 year old SS GMTII.

So that was my logic, and most importantly I am very satisfied, content, and HAPPY with the trade!!

Congrats! Just picked up a HULK from David myself, and couldn't be happier. Enjoy!
