Rolex Service In Toronto

Hi!!!!!

I live on the west coast of Canada. The local dealer (Birks) told me it would cost $1000 to have my watch sent to Rolex in Toronto for servicing. That seems like alot considering the watch is in perfect working condition. Is it possible to deal with Rolex directly? Are there any Canadians out there with suggestions for me?

Thanks!

Hi Snowgirl. The Toronto RSC does absolutely amazing work, your watch will come back brand new. I've had 3 Rolex overhauled there, Nancy's vintage came back last week. While it was in there I dropped in and had the clasp of a Sub repaired, no charge.

$1,000 is a grab by your AD. Toronto RSC basic price for an overhaul is $460, plus whatever bits and pieces they deem need replacing.

Call them directly for service information and shipping recommendations.

$1000 maybe if your watch is a TT or platinum style and needs some of these precious metal components replaced.

All else considered, for a Stainless steel model less than 20 years old shouldn't go over $600 for repairs.

How old is the watch and what needs to be done to it?

Just got my Submariner back from Rolex Canada in Toronto. Only cost me $400. They did a great job, looks brand new. They also gave me a couple of free issues of their magazine. I'm lucky though, they are just down the street from me, so I can just drop it off.

Not necessarily. My 1992 N serial TT Sub was $1,060 all in, including a new crystal, crown & tube, and miscellaneous innard bits that had worn out.

why is a chronograph service more expensive. I think that a daytona service costs around 700 $

Humbertown Jewelers

Humbertown On Kingsway in Toronto does service Rolexes onsite. I believe that they are super quality and a good price.

More moving parts might explain the service cost disparity.

Thanks for the heads-up. Are they an authorized Rolex AD? I need to send Nancy's Cellini in fairly soon to get all of our Rolex up to date in servicing.
