Small Crown TUDOR Sub - Does it Exist?

Gentlemen:

Good morning. I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

I'm wondering if there is a small crown Tudor sub (vintage - not heritage black bay - though I guess that would be a big crown). I'm wondering b/c it seems like for most vintage SS Rolex subs, there was a Tudor brother version as well. For example, for the Rolex Big Crown, there is the Tudor 7924, etc.

Thanks for the info guys!

V/R

Mike

As a general rule .....

Parts numbers differ a bit but - visually at least - vintage Tudor Subs share the same tube and crown dimensions as their Rolex counterparts from the same manaufacturing era.

Here's a couple of pics of old Tudor and Rolex Subs (all early to mid-60's ) and a couple from the GMT family.

You'll see the Sub crowns are all essentially the same - the GMT's of course have the distinctive smaller crown. Hope that helps

Jason:

HA! No, no. But that Sub is intriguing.

I guess the easiest way to ask my question would be - does Tudor have a brother/counterpart watch for the Rolex 5508?

Thanks guys. And great watches - post more pics, please!
