Anyone else irritated by the clasp?

The saga with sizing my GMT II continues this evening. Does anyone else have a problem with the fold-ober pieces irritating thier wrist? I just balanced out the bracelet with 6 links on each side. As a result the claps is not perfectly centered but the fold-over part is now towards the side of my wrist instead of the bottom of my wrist where it seemed to dig into my skin. Sorry for the gory details. I am I nuts?

I can't answer that...it's possible...

As for the bracelet, most folks get by fine with the 7/5 link arrangement. However, we're not all built exactly the same and if the 6/6 arrangement works for you, then that's the way you should wear it..

I've never had any issue with the clasp, but I do have one of those wrists where the watch head always rotates to the outside, regardless of the link arrangement.

I go along with what Larry says, do what works for you. If you need to change the configuration then you are best off doing so for the bracelet to make you comfortable.

The clasp/bracelet does need to be cleaned every once in a while, otherwise it can irritate your skin.

I have relatively thin wrists (6 3/4") and have no problems with my SS Sub Date bracelet.

I have small wrists and for me, getting the clasp to lie at the correct location on the bottom of my wrist is a major key to having the watch stay in the right location on the top of my wrist.

The only two watches I have ever owned that fit really well are my SD and my new GMT IIc. I have both set with 4 full links at the 6 o'clock position. To do this on the SD required removing a link to really intended to be removed (it had to be pried apart and pressed back together) but the GMT IIc had this as a screwed adjustable link.

If, as you describe, the clasp is not centered on the bottom of your wrist you may find the watch moves to an off centered position on the top; the fix is simple - remove a link from the 6 o'clock position and add one to the 12 o'clock position.
