one of the most beautifull chrongraph movements ever
That was already pretty long on my wishlist ;-)
and ofcourse the watch :-) now you might think ... ' Longines, that's not high end!' Well, today I agree, nice watches but not in the top level. BUT 50 - 60 years ago they were TOP NOTCH ! Google or read more about the movements CH 30 and 13 ZN and you'll learn these are VERY important and very beuatifull made movements. The 13 ZN was a movement Patek used for their chronographs. The 30 CH was the successor of the 13 ZN. Not sure if Patek also used the 30 CH But look at it, this is so well and beautifull made. So sad Longines doesn't offer these top chronographs anymore It took me some time to find this excetional piece but being a chronograpgh fan that was a must have !

This is a very nice chronograph, well done my friend!
Out of curiosity, is it gold plated?

Is the minute hand supposed to droop like that? It's not in physical contact with the face is it?
It's a great looking watch, just that the minute hand kinda jumps out at me in one of your pics... |

The movement is a thing of beauty. This is why I was drawn into time pieces in the first place. As soon as I saw the movements in motion and the intricacies of their components, I was hooked. So very very pretty.

And what a bargain too i'm sure when you consider if this had Patek on the dial it would be in a major auction and draw a small fortune. What's even more fantastic is that it's gold and compares with old Patek even more!
