Wasn't a fan when pics and info first came out
But in person and on the wrist, my opinion changed......it's a stunner and the complication is pretty cool too Definitely a hefty chunk of metal on your wrist.... Different strokes for different folks! Todd B. in the OC |

Agreed. Or AP. Its too much dough for a Rolex IMHO.

Since its unveiling at Basel last year, the passage of time and the opportunity to see it first hand has not changed my original opinion of it.
It's a technically interesting piece, but I have a hard time reconciling having an annual calendar without a day function and find the aesthetics unappealing. It does please me (and Rolex!) that people have the completely opposite opinion to mine though. Variety makes life interesting. |

Saw it weeks ago and at first thought it was some sort of horrific fake Rolex spin off straight from the depths of a Bangkok market
Pretty much sums it up |

I think the SD looks amazing! I really like that its a complicated watch, that's not as fragile as all others. I'd love to get the RG in the future. Only think I'd like to change would be the markers. Would like simple stick markers instead. That might help the watch look a bit more like a dress watch.

SkD is growing on me but I like the DD2 better. Just looking at Sam's SkD vs DD2 pics make me realize how striking the DD2 is in its simplicity.

i think the SD looks great in WG, but i think it looks pretty horrendous in any other configuration. maybe one day they'll do an SS version. i think that would be pretty cool.
