FS: Zenith Captain Winsor - El Primero + Annual Calendar - $6500
Up for sale is a rare and TRULY spectacular watch. This is not something I'm saying lightly. If you doubt it, try to find another in-house chronograph + annual calendar. Firstly, you'll have to look at the big names. And then you won't for under $10k. Probably not for under $20-30k.
Don't mistake this for a "triple date" complication. The annual calendar requires adjustment for date only once per year (in February). Furthermore, this one is horologically significant in that it was designed in conjunction with Ludwig Oechslin from MIH. Nine additional moving parts added to the El Primero movement was all it took to add the annual calendar functionality. The finishing, proportions, and overall design of the watch is VERY well thought out. Minute and seconds hands extend all the way to the end of the dial, hour hands follow the inner dial circle perfectly. The mix of brushed and polished finishing on the case is sharp and precise. Crown and pusher operation is a dream, and the mix of colors balance casual/dress very well. The display caseback showcases the very handsome El Primero movement. The watch wears very well on the wrist and works on a variety of straps. The included alligator with rubber backing is a perfect combo for every day wear, combining a very polished look with great durability. This sale includes the full box and paper set and was purchased in April 2012, so plenty of warranty remains. The watch itself is in perfect condition. My price is $6500 NET (shipped). Payment via wire preferred. Paypal, cashier's check, or money order okay, but you cover fees based on your choice of form of payment. I will cover shipping and insurance within CONUS. International at cost. I have countless references on numerous forums for many high-dollar transactions. Contact me with any questions. |
