If the question is about Rolex only, than my list would be:
Wg - DD II and Sub c (smurf)
SS - no date Sub and GMT c

If the question is about ones general collecting preference of any brand, my choice changes to pretty much all precious metals, specifically platinum, white and rose gold. I realize it's purely a matter of personal taste, but personnally I've seemed to gravitate more towards dress type watches vs. sports models; therefor the preference to the gold and platinum.

There's something special about having a platinum watch strapped to your wrist.! But I realize I'm singing to the choir on this forum

I'm getting to that point myself. I hope Basel brings some new stuff quickly. I guess there's vintage but that's a WHOLE different beast that I'm not ready for.

If I could commission anything from Rolex, it'd be a minute repeater.
