Decisions Decisions
My current collection consists of a Milgauss, white face, GMT IIC, JLC Navy Seal, Pam 287 a Tag Carrera and I just recently sold my Explorer I that I am in the process of replacing with a Sub LVC.
I am looking at the IWC Big Pilot 5004 or 5009 or the JLC Tribute to Deep Sea American Dial. I like the JLC, its simple lines and quality are very appealing; however, I am worried it is too similar to what I already have. The IWC offers something different, I like the 7 day in-house movement and the strap options are great; however, the size is a limiting factor. Input from anyone that has experience with one or both pieces and can offer pros and cons of one or both would be a big help. I have read many reviews and both get high marks. It is proving to be a tough choice because both watches speak to me. |

Both are great but have you tried on the BP? It's BIG.

Have you seen the 'newer' JLC Deep Sea Chronograph? Tried one on last weekend and prefer it to the tribute. It's a 42mm and has a rotating bezel along with a window that indicates if the chrono is running. There's also a larger ceramic version of the same. Not sure which JLC Navy Seal you have, so perhaps the Deep sea Chrono is too similar.
