Guys,

2 months ago I bought from a respectable forum member a deepsea from the year 2009. This with matching box and papers. While looking at my beauty today I noticed that the bezel pearl was missing. Damn!!

My question. How can this happen? I did not wear it that much the past period. And as far as I know I did not really bump or what so ever into anything. On the forum I found a topic stating that pearls do not fall out of the bezel by it self. And overall are attached for long life.

Called an AD and questioned them. The only thing they could tell is that replacing would only be possible by doing the whole bezel. This would cost me about 500 dollars. And that normally the pearl does not fall out. But that an accident is always possible.

Please enligten me ;( Could this be an aftermarket bezel. For me it does not look that way.

I'd try going to a local watchmaker who works on Rolex not an AD

Wow, sorry to see that. My heart sunk and I had to look at mine to make sure the pearl was still there....

thankfully it is....but man it's sad to think it could fall out like that.

I hope you can get it fixed without having to replace the whole bezel

All four of the screws in my bracelet fell out during the first 6 weeks, so it wouldn't surprise me if other things, such as the pearl fall out.

Sucks. Unfortunately it requires a bezel replacement. Maybe you can get the new bezel and keep that one as a spare?

Break out the wallet. I had to buy a new bezel for my DSSD and it was around $1200. No service either. I dont think tou can get just the pearl. I had screw issues with my bracelet too but got them fixed as well. Nothing you can do but get it fixed. I wouldn't sweat it too much. Keep us posted.

Damn... hopefully a replacement pearl is al you need via RSC.

The ceramic inserts as a whole are not cheap!

simply gouging the customer. How many pearls do you think fall out a year, I bet a lot

This is an old thread, but I did want to voice an opinion: order a replacement 16610 pearl from Watchmaterial.com -- they're the only people I've found that have the Rolex-spec replacement pearls. Pop it in the existing housing which you still have, and you're fine for under $20.

The problem with that is it's the wrong design, and wrong lume color- green.

I would suggest just buy something that looks like a pearl and stick it in there. No one really looks at a pearl and $1200 for a little pear, is just way too much.

Gototo watchmaterial.com---- Rolex should have done a better job. Sounds like their craftsmanship is getting a little sloppy: pearls falling off and dust particles under the dials--- I am not too impressed with their rush to produce and market their products.

I just had the same thing happen with my Deep Sea. But I lost both the pearl and the round marker that holds the pearl. Not sure how it got "lost". I don't remember banging it into anything.

I have to bring it in to my AD to have it looked at to see what they can do.
