Advice needed DJII or PO 2500

Hey TRF

I have a DJ 116200 36 and have been debating to buy a pre loved sport watch omega PO 2500 or spend the monies toward a DJII and trade in my DJ36? Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

My personal preference would be the DJ II. I bought the SS model because it appears, at least to my eye, to be both a business day watch and a sport watch. It also just feels good on my am. I might have gone for the WG bezel version, which, I think, has the same attributes; but I wanted more contrast in style with my DD II. I have tried to cross the Omega line before, but have always decided on a Rolex, so you should consider that in weighing my opinion.

If you want the PO, get the new 8500 (see through case back with new movement that doesn't look like an eta)
I do not recommend PO 2500. There are too many *cough* rep *cough* PO 2500 around.

I actually bought a new orange OP 8500 for my dad as birthday gift this year, he loves it, cost me 4850 AUD

Two different watches. I am a PO man myself. The accuracy is still unmatched and inspiring for a automatic movement.

It seems if you want sporty than the PO is the obvious choice but I find that being a DJ owner already that the direction naturally leads to the DJll.

.....In your situation I'd go for the PO.

I like the DJ II white dial, I tried on a DJ II last week and it felt great, I compared it to a 116200 and the DJ II is much nicer, if I were you I would trade the 116200 and get a DJ II.

I really like the Planet Ocean, but I don't like the 36 DJ. It's just too small for me as a daily wearer. 40-44 is my happy range. I'd say if you want a Planet Ocean go for it, and keep the DJ. If you find that you like the PO size and feel more sell em both for a new PO or if you find you like the size and not the look, sell em both for the DJII. Nice thing about the PO, you can usually find one at a decent price and sell it for what you paid for it. Best of luck.

Own both, prefer the DJII, but you already have a DJ so I'd go for the PO.

Are you an outdoor person? Do a lot of sports esp water sports? If yes, the PO. If no, the DJ2 is nicer looking IMO.

If you want a sports watch in addition to your DJ 36 mm get the PO. Unfortunately it's like comparing apples t oranges in this case. Since this is a Rolex forum I think most will vote to save your money for the new DJII.

Depends if you like dressier or sportier. I've had the DJ. Now I am a PO man. Don't regret jumping ship one bit. Get what you will wear and like.

Tough call....I am still on the fence if the DJ II is both sport/dress. IMHO the 36DJ is a perfect dress. Good luck!
