Black vs Silver dial, diamond hour markers - 31mm

I am new to this forum. I've decided to buy the Datejust 31mm - Steel Fluted Bezel - Jublilee Bracelet
It's going to be for my 40th bday gift (I am a female). However, I am going back and forth between these 2 dials:

Black dial diamond hour markers
vs
Silver dial diamond hour markers

A few things I have in mind are:
I want something that will age well, so it will be wearable even in my 50's
I am wondering if the black dial will show more signs of wear/tear on the bracelet or vice versa?
I am aware of the finger prints will show up more on the black dial, but I am not very concerned about it
I like the elegent feel/look of the silver dial, but the diamonds seem to blend in too much
I like the diamonds showing up more on the black dial, more modern/bold feel, yet feel like it's not as luxurious feel as compared to the silver dial....

Any thoughts/feedback would be appreciated!!

I got this for my wife about 1 1/2 years ago (random SN) and she loves it!
Great watch for all occasions

Its the 31mm version... Chose the jubilee bracelet over the oyster because
I think it looks stunning with the fluted bezel
Diamonds would be too much, especially as an everyday watch! IMO of course

I'm not a big fan of black dials, so between these two, I'd select the silver with diamonds. I think the WG hands against the black dial would be tough to read, especially in a 31mm.

For me, I find that the silver doesn't have enough contrast, so white would be (and is), my choice. Clean, crisp, and versatile.

Thought of getter her the 36mm...Would have been too big for her puny wrists!
price difference was something like 150$ more...thats all!!!
She just loves her 31mm; at first she thought it was too big

Wow, I can't believe the price difference is so minimal. As long as she loves it, that's all that matters! I'm wearing mine today

My vote is silver. Purely subjective, it just speaks to me.

Agree with you and with Karis. White with Romans is stunning, always fresh, and easy to read. Love it. (I have it in the 31mm too.)
