Rolex Explorer II
I am looking to buy an used Explorer II and something is interesting me: some have the lug holes drilled thru some other not. I think it has to do with the year of manufacture, but I don't know. Can somebody enlighten me?
Thanks in advance! |

Basically, yes depends on when it was produced. I do not know the exact year when lug holes stopped on Explorer II models, but it has to be at least 10-12 years.
The purists will say go for the one with lug holes, I would say the same if you are considering swapping the bracelet for straps. |

The lug holes would be on the older models. My F Serial Explorer II (from 2004-2005) does NOT have lug holes.

Lug holes on the Explorer II disappeared during the Y-series (~2003).
