You say seller is 2 hours away from you--just curious, in total to check out the watch, negotiate and seal the Craigslist deal how many round trips did it take?

I thought I made a good deal buying the same ref with no papers for $4200. Great find!

I did the majority of checking out the watch and negotiating by email. Pics and research and what have you over about 2 and a half weeks. Agreed on 3650 if everything was as the pics represented. Originally he was sticking to his asking price as he's seen them sell on ebay for much more.

The day of, I drove to his home, trimmed off an extra 150 providing the watch proved authentic then he followed me back my way to the RSC.

After I paid the man we went on our separate ways, he an hour and 40 min north and me 20 min south.

Besides email time I took about 5 hours and 1 round trip out of what would have been a slow day.

Give it a couple of weeks when it comes back from RSC.
It's getting a Pepsi dial and service!

Thinking of putting a jubilee bracelet on it as well.

Thats a great watch because you CAN do so much with it in terms of bracelet and bezel options. Plus its just about the best looking Rolex watch ever made. Enjoy it!

I'm wearing my 16710 Coke now. Gotta love the classics, I think this is my favorite watch.
