Romans in blue azure with fluted wg bezel ... why?
In person, the hands appear to be in better proportion to the large case and dial. Sticks, although supplying a richer shade of blue, seem to overwhelm the face. Both are wonderful combinations and I'm jealous of your predicament! Congrats!

I had the same problem picking out my DJ II.
The Blue stick w/ fluted bezel was my choice, b/c the color of the dial is truly awesome.

BUT....I love Romans

If they offered this Darker Blue with Romans, I would have gotten the Romans.

You need to keep trying on, walk around the store...have the salesperson put it on and see what it looks like from a few feet away.

Good luck and want to see pics

I was lucky enough to find a store that had both side by side and I solidified my decision The AD unfortunately wasn't able to come close to our TRF sellers.

IMO: sticks all the way, Romans look too busy on the dial of the DJ - unless its all yellow gold.

going nuts with itchiness...

Put a WTB out there. I'm sure one of the trusted sellers will be able to come through. Try DAVIDSW...

Sticks look more classy and clean, mine are sticks. Get the one which you really like from the heart.
