Just took the plunge.

I've been on this forum for a few weeks now soaking in all the information I can. Based on the things I've read, I decided on the GMT-IIc. I started out wanting a TOG, then a SD. But in the end, the TOG was a bit too similar/familiar to my DJ, and I liked the time zone feature of the GMT.

I also picked up a lady DJ, fluted bezel, jubilee braclet, and blue face with index markers for my wife. I feel like I got good deals on them. Got 10% off on the GMT-IIc and a tick over 15% on the lady DJ. No tax as I went out of state to get them.

I'm very excited about this, and am looking forward to receiving the watches.

Thanks to you all for answering all my questions!

You are a very smart man. That is an excellent choice on both of your selection.

I'll give it my best. It only seems fair after all that I've learned and seen on this forum. I'm expecting the GMT-IIc to come in early next week. The lady DJ won't get in for a little while as they had to order it. It'll be interesting to see if it comes in before February since I was told by another AD that Rolex doesn't ship watches in January.

I'm so excited about this. I do have small wrists, so hopefully the local AD will do a nice job of fitting it. Does anyone know how much an AD might charge for this service given that I didn't buy it locally?

The one local AD I've taken my rolex to for minor things have done things for free, so that's what I'm hoping for.

Both of my discounts came with me simply asking for their best price. When I was ready to purchase, I asked for a bigger discount. They didn't budge saying that that was the best they could (would) do. Normally, I would walk away for a little bit to see if they would change their mind, but I went ahead and got them recognizing that the discounts were at the good end of what others on this board were getting. I'm very excited and can't wait until it gets in, most likely, Tuesday.
