Rolex booth in the macau Fair
Hi
Here's a question forum boardmembers might be able to answer. We were about to enroll in the Macau Jewelry fair from February 28th to March 3rd (http://www.macaujewelryfair.com/), but actually thought about it twice today before transferring the participation fees. One of the big arguments which made us going for it, besides exhibiting the following week in Hong Kong, is the promise Rolex was also exhibiting there ( along Bulgari and Chopard), so the fair would attract very high end customers, both trade and private, but on a second thought, how likely is it ? There's no official exhibitor list and it's a new fair so there's no feedback available. Can someone here confirm Rolex will be present at all on that fair, and if present, what would their booth be about? Thanks for all info Luis |

Welcome to TRF, Luis!
Who told you Rolex would be there? The reliability depends on the source, no matter was is promised.

Hi Space Dweller
The source is the agent selling the booths in France. Problem is Google doesn't seem to confirm that claim and space in the Prime Gallery is still available. Rather dodgy IMO, premium space should be overbooked at the moment if top global brands are participating and already over a thousand booths are sold. Is there a way to check Rolex involvement in professionnal fairs online, as I didn't find the listing on their website? Cheers Luis |

I'd give Rolex Geneva a telephone call, and make a casual enquiry, I can't see why they would have any reason not to tell you the truth of the matter.
That way, you are getting it straight from the horses mouth, not some selling agent who might quote a big name to get you to take up space. I deal with exhibiting agents a bit in Asia, as I attend an exhibition in Taiwan every year and they can be a little tricky. |

Thanx Lol-X for the advice, I just talked with a lady from the China sector in Rolex headquarters and she hasn't hear about that fair yet. She will double check and confim by monday.
It sure sounds fishy from the organiser so we're still putting our participation there on hold. Anyone here heard of swiss watchmakers attending this exhibition? Cheers Luis |
