68 GMTII C owners
According to this thread (http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...t=22305&page=8) there are 68 owners of the new GMT II C. Does this make it the most popular watch in the forum?

Not necessarily so, IMHO. But it shows that there are 68 owners for the time being.
If a "Attention 16610 owners" thread was made, I bet you'd find more owners. But this would also not "prove" that the 16610 is the "most popular". As always, it is a matter of personal preference and taste what one likes.

I love my GMT-IIc, but I think I love my white Exp-II more.
I just never see them in the wild.

I know that it's not the most popular since there are over 9700 members here but still the number amazes me. Personally speaking i think that it's a big number for a brand new model.

What I find interesting, some pretty serious vintage collectors are jumping on the GMT IIc bandwagon.

Dude! I stopped that list because simply there was no ending off it! That list has not been active for a month or maybe a little less, but many members have purchased a good amount of GMTc during this time... I would say it is very popular

I see more subs than anything else and when I posted my GMT-II FSOT I received a dozen requests to trade for a sub.
Nothing against the sub, just they seem to be everywhere.

Also, I notice a preponderance of sports or professional line owners on this forum, compared to DJ owners. May be it's because professional line owners are more "into" their watches. In reality, though, I see at least as many DJ wearers as professional line wearers.

It probably has more to do with the demographics of the people who frequent forums such as this one. In general, more technologically-oriented folks may tend to gravitate toward watches with GMT functions, water resistance, etc. Ahh, what do I know?
