What make you think its a rare watch they were in production for around 11 years.Although the TT 16523 range were made in smaller numbers thats simply down to TT 16523 range not being so popular as the same models in SS.Same could be said with the 116523 range today afraid the TT Daytona is not as popular as the S.Steel although myself think the TT range are better looking watches.While the 16523,16520,16528, Zenith powered ones with the cal 4030 might hold a slight premium over the in-house ones with the cal 4130, its still the plain S.Steel that demand and hold the best prices but rare it most certainly is not.

Not rare at all. Definately a value holder but it's not appreciating or being auctioned for silly money.

The Zenith floating 6, it's not rare, it's the older Daytona. Wait a decade or two and it'll be a vintage!

second has invert 6 and the bazel is 200 insted 400

Welcome to TRF Eyal
Your Rolex ref: 16523...It is a nice Rolex chronograph and as it is
an R serial is one of the first to be made. Not very rare, the 16520
in stainless steel is rarer and more desireable. The floating Daytona cosmograph
and the inverted 6 add very little to the value.

1988
Rolex introduces the new Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph “Daytona”
Chronometer watch: in stainless steel with ref. 16520, in stainless steel
and gold with ref. 16523 and in gold with ref. 16528.
These new references with 40 mm diameter are fitted with sapphire crystal,
Oyster bracelet and bear the new caliber 4030: a caliber based...
on the Zenith El Primero 400 caliber, which has 4030 engraved on the chronograph bridge.
They will remain in production until 2000.

That inverted 6 - why do such a thing? Inverted 6 (more usually referred to as 9 ) from a perpendicular viewing perspective is simply confusing!
