6075
My son inheirited a 6075 OP Date from his mother's father. It seems to be a circa 1961. The serial number is 698xxx. He isn't familiar with Rolex and thought it needed a battery. We wound it Sunday evening and it has been keeping good time since. I know it needs to be serviced but I understand the RSC's in the states won't touch it. Does anyone know of a good watch guy in the Atlanta area that he could take the watch to? Also, his granddad had some cheesy speidel expansion type bracelet on it. I think my son would like to put it on a leather strap with a deployment type clasp. Any ideas where to go for that?
Additionally, I know it's hard to say without pictures (coming soon) but does anyone have an idea of the value range on this watch? Thanks much,

I look forward to seeing the pics.
Try out watchbandcenter.com. They have some nice straps. Maybe Mike knows a watch maker that could service the watch?

Looking forward to the pictures.
That serial munber would put your Oyster at ~1951 or ~1961, a stamp inside the case-back would tell which. Possibly came with a leather strap originally.. Here's a Ref. 6075 from 1951 with a Cal 740 movement:

That looks very similar to the watch, thanks, Larry, Jamie and Bo. I always appreciate the good advice around here.
