Interesting statement
Was trying to buy a strap for my 328 from a local seller and was asked "what is your PAM"? I said it's 328, and the guys said most people stay away from 328/312 because of too many fake, so as to 111, 005...
I don't know what to say but is it true? We ended up with no deal because I didn't agree to the price, and afterwards, he messaged me saying that my watch was fake and he realized why I was bargaining the price because the strap costs same as the watch! Again, I was speechless because I am pretty sure it's real because I know where I bought from, although I am no expert at any watch brand at all! |

true for 000 and 111
but not sure about 312 in fact, the 000 and 111 replicas are so good, the average man on the street may not even be able to tell the difference from the real thing Quote:

The 328 / 312 / 320 / 321 / ... all have the P.9000/n in-house movement which cannot be "faked", not to mention they all come with an exhibition caseback so that you can see what you're getting. As for the 005/111 - I don't know if that's still him talking (or you...), but yes, they are faked / replicated - to a great degree of success. You have to have papers (and preferably the box too) to buy / sell any PAM with a 6497! Frankly, I wouldn't buy a 000/005 (or any solid caseback PAM) from anyone that wasn't 100% trustworthy and if it's from a private seller, I'd have a watchmaker open it up and check it before purchase. Buy the seller, cover your rear end / and so on...

Actually traveller, you're wrong google it. The P.9000 is no longer the tell tale sign of a display back Pam.

Regardless of what he said being true or untrue, he sounds like a real jerk (being nice).

That's a very bizarre accusation from him. Tasteless and rude. Good thing you didn't give him your money. Plenty of other nice guys out there.

Thank you guys for all your replies, his strap looks legit and also has good feedback on eBay, but I don't know why he asserted my watch is fake, maybe just hate I didn't buy the strap from him and wasted his time.
Anyway such a strange experience. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2 |

Send him a pic of the caseback showing the movement and then forgive him for his ignorance and assholeness.

Thanks for your suggestion but I don't think it's necessary to prove anything to that guy.

Ad?
I don't think he was at an AD. He stated his local seller. "good feedback on eBay" I have never heard of AD's having feedback on E-bay.

One question: You are pretty sure it is real or you are positive? For me I have never owned any watch I was pretty sure of being real only 100% positive and certain. As for the strap guy sounds like a real good dude...Not!

Yes, I am positive it's real, because I bought from a world famous grey market store in Japan, all boxes, books, stickers are complete.

This was my thought exactly...I found it a little strange the way the OP made it sound like even he wasn't 100% sure of the authenticity. Perhaps the original post was just worded strangely?
