16610 with Blue Parachrom and Rehaut Engraving

So, I'm new here and looking to purchase my first Rolex. I've owned Tags in the past, but want to move up in the world. I think I have decided that the submariner is the perfect first Rolex. At first I was looking at datejusts. Problem is, when I get it, I will want to wear it everyday and the datejust (even with domed bezel) will be too dressy for everyday wear (in my opinion). So, that leaves the submariner to replace my current everyday watch (Tag F1 ceramic). Now, for a few of my thoughts and questions. Any input (both positive and negative) would be greatly appreciated as I am new to this and there is a lot I don't know.

1) I prefer the 16610 to the 116610 for a couple of reasons. First, cost - pre-owned is cheaper than new. Second, style - I prefer the narrower lugs and smaller crown guards. I feel like the 116610 looks too big, and that in another 5-10 years "big" watches won't be in (i.e., I think the smaller look of the 16610 is more "classic").

2) What should I be looking for (other than obvious signs of abuse and bracelet stretch)?

3) From my research, I have gathered that only the late 2008 or so 16610s had the rehaut engraving. If the watch has the rehaut engraving, does it necessarily have the blue parachrom hairspring? Additionally, what are the major differences between the movement in the 16610 and 116610?

4) Is it worth trying to find a late model 16610, or would I be better off looking for one from the early 90s? I like the look of the rehaut engraving, but it is not a deal breaker. In other words, in your opinion, are there better deals to be had on early 90s models as opposed to late 2000s models? Is it too impossible to find a 16610 with rehaut engraving and blue parachrom spring for a reasonable price?

5) Am I putting too much emphasis on these two points (rehaut engraving and blue parachrom) that don't really matter? I don't plan on purchasing as a collector piece, but I would like something unique about my watch that distinguishes me from the other 1,000,000 attorneys with a submariner. Are there other unique aspects of 16610s that can fulfill my desire to have a slightly unique submariner that I am unaware of?

5) Should I be looking at GMTs too?

6) Any other random thoughts/suggestions/tips/etc. are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
