I've also moved on to shoes, and I too have more than my wife.
Saint Crispins, John Lobb, Edward Green, Gaziano and Girling, Vass, Alfred Sargent, Crockett and Jones, Alden, and Allen Edmonds. Mostly those which can be resoled, and should last a very long time. A number of different types, various styles, quite a few different colors, and various different leathers and other materials.

I would be in BIG trouble if I didn't work/own a dry cleaners. I too would then move on to fine leathers like yourself! I buy new pumas every quarter as once they are dirty, they are gone. I'm in a good neighborhood and have done re sole jobs on fine shoes. I'm lucky to have a great sub contractor for shoe repairs. |

I'm a collector at heart(of course if you ask my wife I'm an accumulator), besides watches, Fountain pens, Bicycles, WR Case Knives, Automatic Knives, Early American Copper coins(Numismatist for over 48 years),Coin Reference books, Horticultural Reference books, Plants-Indoor Cactus and Succulents(I used to have Tropical Foliage plants)and Tillansias and Outdoors-large gardens of Perennials, Dwarf and Mutated Evergreens and Miniature Hostas and Antique and Modern Pruners.....these are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head as I know there must be more!!!
My wife has told me that if I bring anything else into the house...she's moving out...Wow, I didn't think that would be so easy...just kidding!!! LOL!!! Take it easy.....Leo

I go through mini spurts of items that I like. I am not caught up on brands as much as I am value. I have gone through quite a few firearms, sports memorabilia, watches, cars, motorcycles, etc. Anymore though, a majority of my discretionary spending is spent on vacations and upgrading our home. We like to take at least 2 major trips/yr and 4-5 smaller "long weekend" (3-4 day) trips/yr. Those always cost more than expected, but an experience is something that cannot be taken from you or your family.

My wife collects antique science textbooks and related materials. She has a very nice collection including a first print Darwin and some very fragile original Audubon prints. Half of the stuff we have found at garage sales, and flea markets. We also have a 70 year old, eight foot slide rule hanging in our kitchen. |

Besides my 9, and my wife's 6 watches, I'm definitely a shoe guy... I own 2 pairs of running shoes, and probably another 30 or 40 loafers, lace-ups, drivers, mocassins, etc.. most of which are some sort of exotic skin (with kleinburg belts to match of course)... I'm not even going to try and count her shoes/purses...

I'm one of those "everything in moderation" types. Man, I'd make such a good German.. LOL!
I dabble in shoes, sunglasses, weight lifting and exercise gear, and I seem to own a lot of Banana Republic casual clothes...oh and I like some horizontal cha-cha from time to time. Oh, I seem to have accumulated quite the collection of wine over the years as well, although I buy less than I once did.. |

Ham Radio (new stuff, old stuff, interesting stuff), Nikon DSLR & lenses, My boat / fishing stuff, Computer stuff...
Used to be into suits but haven't needed one for work in a while (I miss that). Most of my suits are gone now. Just keep a couple for weddings and funerals. |

Some Ray Bans and old PA license plates. I think that I have all from the early 1900's up until the late 60's when they started using registration stickers instead of making a new plate for each year. My early ones were a bit pricey as thay are porcelain over steel. I also have a pretty extensive Clive Cussler book collection. I have all but a couple and almost all that I have are signed first editions.

Well as I am probably one of the youngest members here (19) I do not have a watch collection (2 watches is not enough ).
I recently found out that I really enjoy reading books, so that's what I've been collecting over the last year. Oh, and I do have quite a lot of lego, but I suppose that doesn't really count either. |

I've collected matches for over 20 years, probably have 3,000 of them, heck there at least free... I also have about dozen putters, mostly old pings. More recently, like last 10years, it's been sports memorabilia, Tommy Bahama shirts and casino chips
