Looks like a 6694 to me too. The blue dials had issues with the tritium dial indices reacting with the blue paint in some cases causing the dial to chip. Yours appears okay. Should be a cal 1215 or 1225 movement, 19mm lugs.

A rather inexpensive Oyster date with smooth bezel and folded link bracelet
Manual wind and not in demand - price to pay (?)...around $1100 to 1400
Service 150 plus parts if needed.

If you are going to an auction - most likely the watch will need service
do not be... "sucked-in"... into a bidding war...it is not an important Rolex
try to possibly pay under $1,000

Tempo is right. $950 at auction is what my max would be if I were after this watch. Folded link bracers are nice but if you have a big wrist it could be a problem. More so if links have been removed. Try it on if you can, just to be sure.

Otherwise it's a cheap and cheerful Rolex. It'll need serviced but it will be a reliable workhorse after that.

Very true and yes I know you are correct about the prices and am not prepared to pay a lot for it, just thought if it went cheaply its worth it, I will let you know as soon as I have seen it.

Excellent. A Rolex is a Rolex but the price is key. If you want a blue dial, manual wind, 34mm it might be a good opportunity for you.
