What range should I be paying for a SS sub no date? I don't know (yet) how old it is or even what condition it's in. Assume average all around.

My E serial 14060 I bought for $2100 USD. It was in original condition with no service done.

I think the Z serial pre-owned would cost around $3200-$3500. This of course all depends if it has the box, papers etc.

Have you checked timezone?

14060M which is the current model will go for about $2700 used up to $3500.

The 14060 (non-M) are goin for around $2200-2500 but will need $450 routine maintenance if it hasn't had it yet.

There are so many variable when you say SS Sub no-Date since the watch has been around for 50 years.

A 14060 S serial number would put it in 1993-94. Hopefully it's been serviced at least once if not twice by now or I'd be pretty weary of picking the watch up w/o someone opening it up and inspecting the movement.

The 14060 was manufactured for 10 years from 1989 to 1999. The 14060M was updated in 1999-2000 and has an updated movement (caliber 3130) compared with the 14060 (caliber 3000). The caliber 3130 update brought about a bit of better shock protection and (according to some) better timekeeping. The 14060M is the current model you can find at a Rolex AD.

So overall is an S series 14060 a desirable piece, or just a run of the mill piece? I'm reading as many old threads as I can but it's hard to put the puzzle together. Where did the tritium dials come in...or more correctly go out?

if $3.5k for a used. i would go to get a brand new one, because BNIB just cost $4k out the door.
