There is no usual discount. Many AD's don't discount at all. Others very little. I would shoot for 10% on SS, 20% on TT and 30% on precious metal models. Will you get it? Don't know, but you'll never know if you don't ask. Also cash is better then CC or check, who doesn't like cash?

Depends on the time of year, model, and the store's discount policies.

More discount by paying cash in HK/Asia.
I think 10% is the common % you can get from an AD. Rolex has has more than 10% in the prices such that AD can say "if you buy right now, you get 10% discount".

Are you sure the price agreed is 4360 Euros (not USD)? Seems far too high.

Some AD's have a policy to not give discounts, at all, while others are more willing to go down on the price a bit.
Getting a discount depends on the watch model, your negotiation skills, payment method (cash is best, IMHO) and also the size of the AD outlet. If the AD has only ONE SS Sub Date, for instance, he'd be less likely to discount it than if he has two or more. Now, if you take the GMT II Pepsi that is now no more made, I think you should be able to get 15 % on it. But I doubt you can get more than that.

I got to see the “official” discount sheet at an AD yesterday, here’s my report of what I cared about:
SS sport models (GMT IIc, Sub, GMT II black bezel) 0! Notta, zilch, Zippo! GMT II Pepsi and Red and black. 5%. T/T Sub. Depending on the model. 5 to 10%. Daytona: Zippo! Clown Master: Free with any purchase of equal or greater value. Milgauss: You get a punch in the eye for simply asking for anything other than list. They did offer some good deals on some other Rolexs. This is all if you "self finance" and if you pay cash, well the prices could be "improved on". |

I got 10% on my SS GMT-IIc and a bit over 15% on a SS lady DJ. Went out of state to get it, so no tax. Paid with Amex.
10%-15% seemed pretty customary on SS when I looked around. |

Got 10% on my SS Sub Date - even had them order one with the CRB and waited a month. Paid with Amex as well - had shipped out of state to avoid sales tax

The discount policy I mentioned above is only for that specific AD and not through Rolex.
The AD I was at sells 2 Rolexs for every Tag, Breitling and Patek they sell. Their unwritten policy is "if you don't buy it, someone else will". Oh well. |

Why don't you get the ferry or cheap flight to UK and save 1,000 Euros on the GMT?

I went to my AD looking to buy a 2 tone mid size YM and she would not even offer a discount I can't see dropping $8000 on this watch from a AD when swissluxury has it for 19% off From what I understand the mid size YM is not that popular of a watch so I don't know why they won't discount especially since I bought my datejust from them a few months back

Lame. Really weak. My AD would give at least 10% off on that and no sales tax. |

went by an AD last week in a heavy ASIAN neighborhood in so cal. They list all their watches with sales tax already in the price? They would not discount the GMT II and would NOT ship out of state to avoid the tax.
They did not get my business. |

We have 2 AD s in our area about 15 miles apart.
Get this: One discounts 10% or more on most models (no SS daytonas) The other charges full retail and never discounts. I dont see how the non discount ing store does any business. Don |

Growing up, several of my high school classmates parent's owned new car dealers. It was amazing that some people actually walked in and paid sticker on cars just because the sales person told them that's the price on the window. (this was in the late 80s) |

When you are "ready to buy", you will typically get a fair discount. If you are just testing and trying, why would the AD offer a discount?

This is correct
The new price for a Sub date 16610 is 4.750 euro (6.935 dollars) but you can buy here in the U.S. all day long for only 3.250 euro (4.750 dollars) smart sellers arent they.

No DISCOUNT
Most AD's use the marque to upgrade their Jewelry...another word if he is good enough to carry Rolex, he is good enough to offer other quality merchandise, he sells the jewelry at more than triple keystone (330%) mark-up with the help of the prestige that Rolex brings to an establishment, so why would he give a discount, he has it made selling his diamond jewelry at stratospheric prices...no need to make less than 5 percent if he discounts that Rolex.
