Another new guy here
I am RankDog...just picked a Sea-Dweller for christmas. I love it so far. This is a great site to learn about these watches and keep up on the uniqueness of them. I have owned a Omega SMP for about three years and love that too, but it was time to step it up to the BigGun. I wear it all the time now.

Hi RD, and a big and warm welcome to this forum.
The SD is one helluva watch, the toughest in the Rolex line-up and you should enjoy that for a long, long time to come. Cheers and Happy New Year to you and your family. JJ

IMHO you have Rolex's top of the line Sub. You could have gotten the Greenie or even a non-date but, you may have always wanted the SD. You have one heck of a watch there SO, wear it like you stole it!!!!!!! You will love how it stands up. Oh yeah welcome to TRF and Happy Holidays :o)

Still loving it!!
Thanks for the replies. Why they call me Rankdog. It is my nick name at work. I am a Fireman..so that is what they calll me at the firehouse. It is part of my last name combined with Dog. I am just natuarlly a big guy, so some how they came up with it.
Anyways, does anyone know about the SD having extra shock absorbers in side of it. This is waht the dealer told me when I bought it. I really was set on the Submariner but when I put them side by side I liked that the SD had no bubble. It looked alot cleaner to me. And the dealer told me abou the shock absorber. with my job I figured that would be great considering I wear it into fires. |

Welcome to TRF RD.
The SD is one of the toughest watches you can own. Congrats and wear it in good health. Especially in your job! My son-in-law is a Fireman as well, but he wears a black Casio Baby G!! He's a big guy as well and I tell you he gets some ribbing at work! |

When I got my first Rolex, I went with the NON BUBBLE crystal.
Now you have an excuse to look for a second one down the road with the bubble. As some of use get older, the bubble helps our vision a bit. That's my excuse anyway. Enjoy & wear with pride. |
