Do the trade.

I'd go for the one with papers at extra cost, to get a more complete set, even if you get service papers too.

Scratches can be polished out fairly easily, but a yellowed dial looks old (unless you want to call it "patina"; then you pay extra for it! )

The box is no big deal but I'd pay extra for better condition...

$250 is'nt too much more to pay for the better AK of the two.

Thanks everyone. I just sent my 5 watches to the dealer and am going to do the better Air King with box, papers, newer bezel and less wear for $250 more. I'll likely still send it in to Rolex for service so it feels completely "new" to me. I appreciate everyone's feedback as it helped me decide whether this was or was not a good deal. When I have the Air King, I'll be sure to post pictures (though, I'm not sure how to post pictures here). Thanks again for being so helpful!

I think you made an excellent decision. You'll enjoy the new watch very much and not have to worry about selling/giving away the unwanted pieces. Everyone's collection evolves over time.

I just got the AirKing and love it. The bracelet is too big, which is no problem - I'll bring it to the local dealer and have a couple of links removed. I'd love to share pictures but have no idea how to do so. Thanks everyone!
