DeMesy watches = Horrible

These guys are in my neighborhood in Dallas. I had a black tt ceramic Sub and I was looking to trade for the blue version.

They had a blue version v serial so I requested a trade. mine was in much better shape but I was okay with it. They then tell me I will need to add $4500 cash with the trade.... WHAT? my watch is mint and complete and they want 4500 premium for the same watch in Blue?

They are shady as hell, they try to sell new watches and try to make you think they are an AD and they are in fact not. Come to also find out from some other folks that they use aftermarket parts on a lot of their used Rolexes.

Stay away guys. Found a great guy on the forums to do the trade with, excited to get my watch from Justrolexes.

Yeah, I remember when I first started out looking for my sub a few years ago they came up on a search. After doing some digging I steered away from them...

I had an unpleasant experience from them, too, and will not do business with them again. Couple years ago I bought a DJ Thunderbird from them online but the watch they sent was not the watch pictured. Dial was slightly different. When I called them on it they did offer to let me return the watch, but they defended using "stock" photos of watches. Particularly when the watches are preowned, this is unacceptable. We need to see exactly what we're buying.

Wow only one time did I use them. Sub 18Kt Bluesy

No problems. No dramas. Great watch. The only problem I had was the sent it ups afternoon instead of FedEx morning overnight. Had to wait all day.

I would use again.

They have been discussed in other threads in the past. I don't recall ever reading anything positive about them before.

ya it was pretty clear after about 2 text messages with Justrolexes that he is a straight shooter unlike those swindlers over at Demesy.

Justrolexes sent me a shipping label immediately and should have the new piece Wed.

I was shocked to see such negative comments about DeMesy & Company, as this does not match up with my past experience at all. I have been buying, selling, and trading watches, including numerous Rolexes, for the past 20+ years and Joe DeMesy was one of the first dealers I ever dealt with. He and his staff have always been an absolute pleasure to deal with, have always treated me with great respect, and not only that, I have always found Joe to be a watch dealer of the utmost integrity (which sadly, is not so common these days). Whether I have sold Joe a watch or purchased from him, he always pays quickly, ships on time, and the watches I have purchased from Joe have always been in great condition and exactly as described. I haven't heard of JustRolexes, but all I do know is that Mr. DeMesy has been in business for over 30 years, has 1000s of satisfied customers (including myself), and is the author of several price guides, not to mention one of the world's foremost experts on vintage and modern watches. To say that he is "shady" seems completely absurd to me. He has been an absolute pleasure to deal with over the years and I would recommend him to any collector or watch buyer (or seller). And by the way, I have never been led to believe that DeMesy & Company is an AD. I believe it says clearly on their website that they are NOT an authorized dealer for Rolex and other brands. Sorry for the long reply, but I was upset to see Joe being bashed like this. Thank you.

Best Regards,
Marc Berliner

Shady?? really??!! Sure they "low balled" you. But I'm not sure that makes them Shady?

They made you a bad offer. You didn't take? So no harm no foul.

Just don't do trade business with them anymore.

I don't think it was a personal attack.

My 2 cents....

Regards.

Hey Baller24 (love your user name, I'll bet you're a real baller):

I am not an employee of DeMesy & Company, nor am I Joe DeMesy. As I stated, I am one of his loyal customers. However, since you mentioned it, it seems like you doing your best to promote this seller JustRolexes. Maybe that is your true agenda? By the way, I posted under my real name. Unlike you. Just saying.

just a bit odd that you joined the site yesterday and your first post was defending some scammer named the DeMesy company. Very odd first post to say the least. DeMesy is trash and they don't know how to treat customers and I do believe you have some affiliation or are Joe yourself. thats it

I don't need to promote justrolexes, his reputation on this site speaks for itself. But you wouldn't know b/c you just joined yesterday......
