15300 vs JLC Deep Sea Chrono + Reverso

I am planning on purchasing either a 15300 Blue Dial or the JLC Deep Sea Chrono + Reverso Grand Taille. My collection currently consists of mostly Rolex pieces. I have handled all of these watches, but looking for options from any owners.

yes get AP 15300 when you can now, because it is discontinued . get JLCs later on then.

Something of an echo in here.

15300 first. After picking one up it's the solid #1 in my rotation.

Given your current collection I'd go with the Reverso next.

I'm going to dissent and vote JLC over AP. In my opinion there is a short list of quintessential classic watches. The Reverso makes the list, along with say a Rolex sub. The AP, while fantastic, does not.

I guess it depends on how you define "classic". A RO is definitely a classic watch.

definitely the 15300 as it is discontinued and becoming very tough to find bnib,
I love my blue dial which was available only at Ap boutiques which makes it a bit more rare.
You can get the jlcs later as they are readily available.

Nice pics, Andy. I love all the dials but am partial to the blue myself.

Well played, Mike - the Reverso is a great complement to the 15300.

You can buy the JLCs any day but the 15300 is almost impossible to get BNIB anymore. Both the Deep Sea Chrono and the Grande Reverso are fantastic watches. Great reviews of both of them on http://www.watchcollectinglifestyle.com
