Which RO should I choose?

how is yours running? i found mine to run at about 6+ sec/day way too fast. much prefer how PP can regulate to run +/-1 sec/day

Well for balance lets say the Nautilus is certainly not for everyone either. The SS is far too much money for far too little watch imho. ROs are muscular and have a presence while Nauts are very light and unsubstantial. Both have distinctive and very attractive designs for me.

So it depends on what kind of watch you want to spend your hard earned on, but neither is definitively better than the other.

This scares me away.. It looks very stiff on some peoples wrists.
I cant stand this, I'll have time to go try this watch in like three weeks. Incredibly painful to just judge it by picture, never seen it IRL.

Dont get me wrong the RO is nice but there are other nice watches out there too

Im thinking a dark dial RO would be ok as im more into those dials in sports

You need to try it on as it could be an entirely different experience than mine but the stiff and thick bracelet is a bit of a deal breaker for me

I agree you need to try it on,I think it comes down to individual wrist size and shape as to the fit. I tried the bracelet and thought it was very comfortable and looked amazing.

and i've come from wearing much slimmer pateks to a bulky beast like the 15300. looking at my pictures of the RO, i also don't like the heavily bevelled edges on the 15300. the finish isn't near as good as patek's

Bloody hell Anders, you've got rid of the 15300 then? Have you seen the white dial 5711 in the flesh yet? I've read a couple of reports the dial has a hint of silver in it.

wore it 2, 3 times tops, looked down and it just wasn't meant to be

also felt funny on the wrist

i'm thinking the blue or black 15300 would be better but did not bond with the 15300 at all and no point having it in the box

it went to a very good home and it is being enjoyed by the new owner

yes, and i really like the white 5711. the white is slightly off, mix of toothpaste and clotted cream. sits much flatter on the wrist without the lugs hanging over. 7" wrists for me.
