ROO replacement bezel

Hi fellas,

I was just wondering is there a way to get an OEM ceramic (or any other) bezel for 42mm ROO?

I've asked the AP SC in London and they said they cannot replace my ss on with bezel that is made from different material. - which I presume is understandable in the sense that they wouldn't want people to tamper around with their design but I am feeling rebelious.

I think I've seen a post sometime ago saying that you can get an OEM bezel?

Any ideas?

Even if you can replace the bezel, I don't think it's gonna be an easy job when you do it yourself.

You'll probably have to find an independent watchmaker with an AP parts account.

Does anyone else even have a parts account? I haven't seen any bezels floating around, ever.

The most difficult part is finding the bezel, then if you have the right tool... It can be done

There's no such thing, at least not in the US.

the AP factory themselves replied to me that they can NOT replace the rubberclad bezel on my 57th with a ceramic one; i'm not sure if that was in an email or in a letter from them delivered to my dealership

although my dealer did manage to get a quote for one which was a very reasonable (all things considered) ~1.4k USD if you ever needed a new one

i asked them about this when my watch was with them for 3rd yr warranty

You can commission AP to do private limited editions, but you would have to get a certain number done & the cost would be astronomical.

i thought i recently read a post detailing that it may soon become possible to replace the FC bezel on the Grand Prix with a ceramic one.

how do the facts above reconcile with that possibility?
