I wear mine anywhere. As far as the shower is concerned, I have read comments about the steam and older seals being a problem.

People don't wear the watch in the show because it leaves soup flim when it dries in areas like in the clasp ,between the links. Never stopped me. It's safer also, by taking off the watch to shower you could drop it . Not good. I've seen many photos here of members scuba diving with the twin lock Rolexes ! They are no where near 100m. At 100m there's not even much sun light I believe. An expert will let me know. Enjoy your watch.

Rolex watches are the most waterproof watches by far.

I swim, dive, shower with it on because my watch is on my wrist 24/7. Do not fear water: the engineer job is wonderful on these watches. (for the sauna, well.. no one knows exactly if it is good or not in the long term.. so it is better to avoid. But as soon as it is 0 to 40°C water, salty or not, jump in!)

As long as you change gaskets every 5 years with full service, it will NEVER let water enter. So stick it on your wrist, and do not ever put it off. It will be your best friend, living with you and getting scars like your skin.

It was one of the reason I bought a Rolex (or 2)
Safe for swimming, diving showers.
My past diving watches were battery operated- so had to go through all the expense of pressure testing every time they needed a new battery.
I no longer scuba dive- but will only buy watches that are fine with water.

I am going to piggy back off of this question. I know it is safe to swim with the sports models, I do with my Hulk, but what about a DJ jubilee, or a president? I have no intent to dive with those, but are they safe to go swimming with?

Al Rolex oyster watches are safe to swim in as long as the seals fairly new, if not best pressure check first if all OK swim away.

Thank you, Peter. One other question, since I am still new and trying to learn, what cases are not Oyster in the Rolex line? I am guessing the Cellini, but are there others?
