FS: 1960 Rolex Date 1500 34mm Gilt Dial w/ Daphne Hands

Up for grabs is a Rolex Date Mid-Size

1500 reference

658,418 serial number circa 1960

Excellent condition case with no dings, dents, or deep scratches. Both the serial and reference numbers have been partially rubbed by bracelet over the years, but you can still make out all the numbers as seen in pics.

Dial is excellent and rare SWISS only, gilt print and black gloss finish with applied markers and Coronet. No chipping, scratches, or uneven aging. All the "marks" you may see in pics are on crystal, not dial itself. Daphne hands are in excellent condition with luminous material intact. If you look close, you can see the hands have anodized (rainbow colors) over the years. Date disk is correct with open 6's and 9's.

Caseback is in excellent condition and stamped 1501 IV.60 with 1500 below.

Bracelet is not original, put-together Oyster rivet. Some links are USA rivet and others from Swiss rivet bracelets. Clasp is stamped Rolex USA, C&I and 76.

The 1560 Butterfly movement appears to be in excellent condition and runs well and strong within COSC specs.

Watch only. No accessories. No documented service history, though there are multiple service marks inside caseback.
