Best way to store a Rolex??
Sorry if this is a stupid question but I was wondering if there is any way better than the others to store your watch? Wether it's while your sleeping or for weeks at a time? On the bracelet face up? Face down? Crown down? Case side down? In the box face up or any other way?
Thanks |

I stored my watches covered carefully in Rolex soft cloth and put them into my Wolf designs watch box, inside a heavy duty, ton inches of heavy steel metallic safe, secured by motion sensors alarm and remote cam linked to a security company, which in turn will alert the local police in under 10mins if activated.

The safest and best place of all to store watches not being worn is in the bank vault in safety deposit box. Cheers,

Crown up if it's off which it usually isn't. My other watches are in Oakley cases but every month or so I'll wind them and then store each crown side down for the month and then switch the other way the next month. Probably doesn't make a bit of difference though.

In a cherry wood display box, inside a safe that's bolted into the concrete floor.

Shouldn't matter which position you leave it in if it's stopped. Mine are kept in my personal safe when not in use.

Either on a winder or in the safe crown up. But I wear mine enough that they never stop.

There is an inexpensive and attractive solution available at most urban and suburban flea markets. It is now possible to purchase tube socks in convenient six-packs. Tube socks are issued in pairs: one sock is meticulously wadded and placed inside the bracelet, the other used to cover and contain. They may then be safely stored under the bed or in the bedside drawer. In the event that the watch is on a strap, the solution is simple: attach the bracelet and wad up the sock to put inside the bracelet, then cover the whole with the other sock. The socks are a convenient white color and can be labeled with a felt-tip in your choice of colors. They have the additional quality of leaching away any residual sweat or liquid that might have been left on the watch.

Orientation matters little. On winders for the regular wrist rotation. Otherwise, out of the way...in-home safes work up to a point. And those with safe deposit boxes are wise to keep the bulk of a collection there.
Or... The Freezer...AKA Jocke's way

All but two live in the safe at any given time. I use tray holders (9 watches/tray) which stores them dial up. Never had a problem.
