New strap for my 210 and see what has happened
Ordered a dark tabacco desert alligator strap from Di Stefano for my Radomir 210 ... Which i was wearing on a black alligator from TWB .... Now the strap arrived yesterday and also it smells great and is butter soft ... I like the look and structure of the TWB strap better .... I now fitted it on my 372 ...
What do you think? I regret i bought it ... Will it grow on me?

One more ... The TWB is a bit padded, while the Di Stefano is flat.

On the 210. IMO the 372 needs thicker straps.

Hm. One more thing that bothers me ... How can you tell that it is true alligator ... When i look at both straps, one looks a bit odd ... Also they would not do that, right?

Hard to tell from the pics but the TWB strap looks like croc while DS looks like embossed leather?

Destefano? I doubt it. Keep in mind that there's different grades of alligator hides, ditto for croc (caiman). Imho the Radiomir looks good with the Destefano

Destefano states it is the best and softest hide, also used for gloves.

I'll have to admit that the pattern is unique, but the description...
"Grade 1 “super soft” Alligator. An expensive Gator hide also used by Italian glove manufactures here in Florence" ..sounds good to me This is all I've got in alligator:

Nice watches and nice straps.
I guess the distefano strap has been flattened or pressed or polished down, and they wanted to show less profile to have it softer and dressier .... Would i have bought it in a shop, seeing it in front of me: no But now i have it and i will wear it for a bit and then we see ... If it does not grow on me, i get a golden baby croc from tedsu .... Or a custom made chocolate brown from TWB .... Or a darkbrown OEM alligator or JV .... There are some options.

there is just simply no way that that strap from simona is anything but gator, no worries. if you want a rougher style, try one of her vintage alligator straps.
i'm glad you like your watch boy strap, but, there is no comparison between these two makers. distefano straps are handcrafted straps made from the finest leathers and legendary among paneristi. |

TWB is a larger grain material with a domed padded look. Other is small grain gator in a flat style.
Difficult to make domed straps, so most sellers make them in the flat style as domed models require that the material be thinned enough to not create pressure on the edges and start to lift on domed designs. Also have to shape the padding and thin it down on the ends and edges. TWB's is made from the same supplier I used to get my straps from DON |
