Does anyone see Rolex releasing a black "sunburst" dial on 116610?
Every 5 years or so Rolex releases a tweak or minor change on its current models.
We saw the BLNR after 5 years of releasing the GMT. I'd say we should expect something like sunburst black dial on the sub in 2015 that changes color from grey to solid black??!! Do you thank that may be attractive? TRF thoughts? Nidal |

I'm going to say that's pretty doubtful.

No chance on the black, its too iconic, just like sunburst blue is.

Anything's possible, but I just don't see it. A matte black might look cool too, but again, I doubt it.

Sunburst is just a Internet term in the real world its just a slightly different mix of paint on modern watches. And much like the few others over the Rolex years now many years ago the term sunburst was the defective paint pigment that turned some blue dials to shades of brown to purple..

Actually sunburst was term given to the blue dials of 70-71 on 1680/8's that turned brown from blue due to paint defect. There is nothing quite like them IMHO and trust me I know!
