Great AD experiences

So I've heard about few bad AD BS, but we only have one AD in town and don't like going there as thru have a small collection.
Last weekend, I went to Scottsdale, AZ to try few watches and for my wife to try few ones as I plan to get her first Rolex.
I decided to go to Hamra. Man I was impressed with their collection and the knowledge the salesman, Rob, had. They were very patient and he even brought out the new models for me to try.
The plat. Daytona, man! That thing is HEFTY. It really is one heavy watch. I loved it.
The BLNR I've seen before, not impressed
The SS YMII is lighter than I thought it would be and doesn't wear that big. Still don't like it.
They even got me the new sunburst dial TT sub. Very nice, but I have mixed feelings about it.

After that, I visited Tourneau at Scottsdale Fashion Square. Many people said bad things about them and I was little hesitant to get in, but I'm glad I did. The young man who helped my was very knowledgable and knew what he was talking about. They are overpriced, of course, yet it was a fun experience.

Sorry no pictures, but I thought I would share my positive experience with you fellows.

Have a great weekend!

Some are great, some are awful. The only AD in my town is TERRIBLE. The AD in Bellagio and Beau Rivage (sp?) are great.

Glad to hear you had a great experience. Whenever I am in scottsdale I usually go to Ben Bridge. I will now have to check out Hamra

I did the same in the past, but every time I went I had to educate them about their watches. Lol

Hamra also carries Breitling and Patek Phillipe. They are definitely worthy of a visit.

I bought my Daytona from Rob at Hamra after visiting everyone. Hamra and Robert C Wesley are the best.

Yup, he is nice guy. I think it's always nice to spread the word out about businesses that appreciate all their customers regardless of the "potential buyer" status.

Always nice to hear great AD experiences.

I like to buy from ADs whenever possible.

It must be tough for some ADs. Some people will use them to look at the merchandise, use the ADs staff and overhead but then buy grey market because it is cheaper. I like to buy from an AD, but have also bought pre-loved too, so guess I am guilty as well of doing that from time to time.

There are good ADs out there and bad ones. I have a great relationship with mine, but it took 11 years and many watches to build up.

For ADs that treat people badly, trusted sellers here are a good option. For good ADs, I like to try to support those.

Maybe it's me and my Deepsea, but most of my AD experiences have been wonderful. Just high prices.

It's nice to report a great experience which should be the norm but often isn't.

A lot of folks are harsh on ADs. I agree they run the gamut but the good ones are good and in the North East US most of them are good.

Please explain?

Bought my first sub in 2002, been buying from him over the years. Hope to get another Rolex from him in the near future. When I was getting into OQ, he even gave me advice as they were no longer available.
