Dilemma - APROC RG or AP NOV SS
Hi Friends...
So I have narrowed down my choices to the AP ROC RG and the AP Nov in Steel... I dropped the AP Nov Ceramic coz very simply I feel its way overpriced. I have a couple of shots below and I would like to know what you guys think... Both are very different watches so it is important to know that at the moment my only watch is the Omega Planet Ocean which is my daily beater... I had a FC Novelty earlier and had sold it expecting to pick up an all-ceramic but the price has put me off... I know the ROC RG is great with formals but do you think it will be good for weekend wear... I have attached a pic in jeans and a t-shirt which is what I usually like to wear.... I know the ideal choice is an AP Nov RG but seriously out of my budget at this time..... What do you guys think? Would you go with the ROC RG (black face or white face) or Nov SS considering this would be the onlty watch for some time and considering I'm more of a casual type of person.... Thanks for your comments in advance :-) |

I like the white dial ROC pic better...and typically I would have said 44SS (which I have owned).

By far my vote goes to AP ROC white dial, black looks good too but white has my vote.

very tough choice, i love/hate when i have to make similar decisions
in your case and how you describe yourself i would vote for the SS ROO a. ceramic bezel keeps it looking new and fresh b. it does look big from that angle on your wrist but i definitely don't see it being out of place c. you've had the FC ROO, and your ideal is a RG ROO, and you consider an SS ROO.. thus you are a ROO person even though you love the RO (as i do) |

Both look great. With what you're wearing, I'd say the ROO nov. But that roc rg sure does pop. Tough decision

ROC. Both white and black are nice, but I think I would go for white dial.

Hi again Abner, you know what I will recommend ofc and I know you're a bit worried about the gold not being casual enough but it looks great on you there and as you only live once you might as well go for the best. I would enjoy it for a while and maybe save up for the RG Novelty in the mean time. I plan to add the RG Novelty myself for my perfect AP gold pair.

Side by side I will always vote for black faced RO, but you must always consider skin tone and overall style, so in your case the white dial RO is a no contest, first and best choice. Even casualy dressed it looks way better than SS ROO.
BTW, whats your wriste sitze? |

i like ROC RG on you. the AP NOV SS is nice watch as well. but it does't look perfect like ROC RG does.

The ROC RG looks great. I find the RG looks great casual and formal so no issues there.
To be honest the SS looks too big. |

Thanks every one for your inputs so far.... This sure is one tough decision and your comments are of-course helping... Plan to try out both watches joined by my wife this weekend and her choice will obviously have more weightage ;-)...
Only hope it does not add to the confusion!!!! |

Hi Neil, The ROC RG looks stunning on you and if not for your pics I would not even have discovered this beautiful watch... I was limited in my choices to the ROO line alone.... The only thing is that you do have other watches to rotate whereas this will most probably by only one go to watch for some time now... :-) Cheers, Abner |

White dial Rg by miles.
It's suits you very well and is versatile if you ask me.
