Sears tried that as well but you just can't buy class...you either have it or you don't.

I was actually at Nordstrom in Seattle over the weekend with my wife for their private sale party (they invite you to their store a few hrs before it opens and give you food & champagne in hopes you get drunk and go on a buying spree).

My wife's personal shopper noticed I had on the SubC, she told me that they had a few limited edition Rolexes and wanted to show me. I said "sure why not". She had someone bring it and the guy that brought it said I could look at it but it was already SOLD. Lo and behold was the same exact watch in this thread.

So I saw it in person and was not impressed. I asked her what about warranty since Nordstrom is not an authorized dealer; but she did not know. Kicker is, you dont even get a factory green Rolex box. You get a smaller black box that has "Bamford" imprinted on it.

Still, someone bought it at $18k + WA sales tax of 9.6% !!!

Yeah. Most non wis just want what they want. They don't care about the green box. It's not about the brand. It's about the watch.

Yikes! I can't believe Rolex lets Bamford get away with the rebranding.

Not a fan. I wouldn't call it horrible, but it's certainly not for me. And certainly not for that price!
